In 2012 we hosted our first workshop, Integrating the 3 Dimensions of Biodiversity: New Directions for Investigating Biodiversity of Ciliates. One of our major accomplishments was the refinement of our list of Grand Challenges of Biodiversity of Ciliates.

This is the advertisement program for the IRCN-BC's first workshop, which will be held at the National Evolutionary Synthesis Center (NEScent) and North Carolina Central University (NCCU), Durham, NC on September 19-22, 2012. Registration for the workshop is free and will open May 30, 2012. Among the topics of discussion is a proposal for a set of Grand Challenges in Biodiversity of Ciliates.
